1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website mainroot.io and its related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mainroot ("Mainroot," "we," "us," or "our").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Mainroot provides a Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform that allows users to:

  • Audit their brand's visibility in Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
  • Generate "Missions" and actionable insights to improve this visibility.
  • Interact with an AI Strategy Chat for personalized advice.

Disclaimer: Our Services analyze responses generated by third-party AI models. We do not control these models and cannot guarantee that your brand's visibility will improve or that specific content will appear in LLM outputs. The "AI Authority Score" is a proprietary metric for informational purposes only.

3. Account & Subscription

3.1 Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Subscription Plans

  • Starter Plan: Strictly limited to monitoring one (1) domain. You may not use this plan to monitor multiple competitors or domains not owned by you.
  • Pro Plan: Allows for multi-domain monitoring and unlimited AI Chat access.
  • Custom/Enterprise: As defined in a separate Master Services Agreement (MSA).

3.3 Usage Limits

We reserve the right to enforce usage limits (e.g., number of monthly scans, chat messages, or API calls) associated with your plan. Attempting to bypass these limits (e.g., by creating multiple accounts) is a violation of these Terms.

4. Payment & Billing

  • Fees: Services are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly). All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
  • Payment Processor: We use Stripe for payment processing. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your dashboard. The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

5. User Conduct & Restrictions

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
  2. Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code of the Services.
  3. Share your account credentials with third parties (unless part of a "Team" plan).
  4. Use the Services to generate content that is fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful.
  5. Scrape or automatically extract data from our website without our prior written consent.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our IP

The Mainroot platform, algorithms, "AI Authority Score" methodology, logos, and software are the exclusive property of Mainroot.

6.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of the data you provide to us (e.g., your domain name, brand assets). You grant us a license to use this data solely to provide and improve the Services.

6.3 AI Outputs

Subject to applicable law, you own the specific reports and strategies generated for your account ("Output"). However, you understand that other users may receive similar strategic advice if they have similar problems.

7. AI & Data Privacy

  • No Training on Private Data: We do not use your confidential strategy data or private chat logs to train our public AI models or those of third parties (like OpenAI).
  • Public Data Analysis: Our analysis is based on publicly available information generated by LLMs.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mainroot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (A) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services; (B) any conduct or content of any third party on the Services; or (C) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve (12) months.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mainroot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., Reddit, Quora, LinkedIn) that are not owned or controlled by Mainroot. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on our website or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Elancourt.
